Crash Throws Man From Vehicle In Miami
MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) – A two car accident near Miami Northwestern Senior High School sent three people to the hospital, including an elderly man who was thrown from his vehicle.
According to Lt. Ignatius Carroll, The accident happened shortly after 1 p.m. Sunday. Miami Fire Rescue said a Nissan SUV and a minivan collided and sent the Nissan into a spin and the minivan through a fence at Miami Northwestern.
The minivan's driver was thrown from his car and taken to Ryder Trauma Center in serious condition. His wife was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital in serious condition.
The Nissan's driver was taken to North Shore Medical Center with minor injuries. The driver's wife and two children were checked out by paramedics on the scene and released. The kids, aged 7 and 5, were in car seats at the time of the accident.
Miami Police are conducting an investigation to find out what led to the accident.
