FDLE Issues Alert For 3 Missing Children Believed To Be Endangered

CORAL SPRINGS (CBSMiami) – The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has issued an alert for three missing children believed to be endangered.

According to Coral Springs police, the children were last seen with their father, Mario Ruggiero. Authorities believe he was near the area of the Festival Flea Market Mall in Pompano at around 12 p.m. Wednesday.

Police are asking for you to be on the lookout for 9-year-old Gaetano who is 5' 3" and weighs 68 pounds, 8-year-old Domenic who is 5' 2" and weighs 62 pounds and 3-year-old Nia who is 3' tall and weighs 40 pounds. All three children have brown hair and brown eyes.

Ruggiero is around 5' 10" and weighs around 180 pounds. He has a shaved head, hazel eyes, a sleeve of tattoos on both of his arms and wears earrings.

Investigators said Ruggiero does not have a vehicle so they are asking people who take public transportation to extra alert.
