Update: Case Dismissed Against Woman Charged With Robbing Tourist

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- The case against a South Florida woman, accused of robbing and pepper spraying a Chicago tourist in South Beach, has been dismissed, according to court records.
The record states the case against Peggy Harrell was closed on September 24, 2012 due to 'no action'.
No further action will take place in this case.

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Bond was denied Tuesday morning for a woman accused of robbing, pulling a gun and pepper spraying a Chicago tourist on South Beach.
According to the police arrest affidavit, Peggy Harrell, a known prostitute, "groped and rubbed" the male tourist in front of the Berkeley Shore Hotel on 16th Street and Collins Avenue on Monday, Sept. 3rd.
When Harrell walked away and tried to get into a taxi, the tourist, identified only as Thorton, realized he was missing $700 cash from his front pocket.
Thorton ran up to Harrell and confronted her about the missing cash and she pulled out a gun, states the affidavit.
The tourist managed to wrestle the gun away from her. It fell to the ground and Harrell ran away.
The victim didn't want anybody to pick up the gun so he tossed it into a nearby trash can before he started running behind her, according to police.
He chased her into a Walgreens at 100 Lincoln Road where she threw over 20 bottles of wine and pepper sprayed the victim, according to the report.
Once police arrived on the scene, Harrell was arrested. The store was closed for more than an hour for cleanup and the gun, which turned out to be a BB gun, was recovered from the trash can.
The $700 was not recovered.
Harrell is charged with Robbery with a Firearm, Grand Theft, Criminal Mischief and Cocaine Possession.
