Cool & Clear Weather Expected Over S. Florida
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The coldest morning in quite a while across South Florida saw much of the area in the low to mid-40's.
While it was cold, it wasn't a record-breaker, at least in Miami. Officially, the low temperature at Miami International Airport dropped to 47 degrees overnight, just two degrees more than the record low of 45 set back in 1947.
But in Key West, the low temperature of 57 degrees broke the old record of 58 degrees set in 1969.
Clear skies and very low humidity will give the area some beautiful weather over the next couple of days with temperatures during the day warming to the upper 60's on Wednesday and back into the lower 70's by Thursday.
But, the very low humidity combined with dry conditions across the area will keep the fire danger quite high Wednesday afternoon and into Thursday. While no fire warnings are in effect, it's still advised you use caution if you're planning on burning anything outside.
Temperatures should rebound back into the upper 70's by Saturday and Sunday with a very slight chance of a shower by the end of the weekend.
