Cool Change On The Way
MIAMI (CBS4) – If you look outside your window you'll see evidence that a cool change is on the way.
Thursday morning, South Florida woke to temperatures in the low 70s. On Friday, morning temps will be 20 degrees lower in spots as a cold front creeps down the southern half of the state. As the front moves through we will see scattered showers and increased cloud coverage.
On Thursday, highs will struggle to reach the upper 70s before taking a tumble behind the front. The winds have already started to shift from South to North and the breeze will build.
Lows Thursday night will dip into the low 50s inland and the upper 50s with a few 60s possible near the coast. Our average low this time of year is 61 degrees.
Friday's highs will only climb into the low 70s with plenty of winter sunshine. It will be breezy with Northeasterly winds of 15 to 20 mph and stronger wind gusts.
We will enjoy cool nights and mild sunny afternoons through the weekend with lows in the 50s and highs in the low to mid 70s. Another cold front will bring a reinforcing shot of cool air on Sunday and early next week our seasonal weather pattern will continue as we kick off the month of February.
