Complaint Filed Over Lack Of Condom Use In Florida Porn Movies
MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) - Florida's porn industry may be about to go under cover, so to speak, if a health organization has its way.
The AIDS Healthcare Foundation filed a sanitary nuisance complaint in August with the Florida Health Department over a porn movie shot in South Florida without using condoms.
The AHF successfully pushed Los Angeles County voters to approve a law requiring porn actors to use condoms during shoots.
AHF President Michael Weinstein said the group doesn't want adult film performers exposed to health risks in states outside California.
The complaint requested an investigation, but state health officials haven't responded to requests for comment about the matter.
