Coast Guard Rescues Fisherman Near Bahamas
ST. PETERSBURG (CBS4) — The Coast Guard rescued three fisherman near the Bahamas, Tuesday.
Coast Guard rescue coordinators got a signal around 10 p.m. Monday night from an activated Electronic Positioning Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB).

When a crew aboard an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter out of Clearwater arrived at the signal location, it discovered a 34-foot boat east of the Crooked Islands, Bahamas.
The boat became disabled while traveling to Long Island Bahamas from Providenciales, Turks and Caicos.
The men reported they ran out of a food and water and were considering abandoning ship due to damage from waves.
All three men were rescued and no injuries were reported.
