Clinton Widens Lead Over Trump In New CBS News Poll

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has widened her lead over Republican opponent Donald Trump.
The latest CBS News poll in a four way race, which includes Green Party candidate Jill Stein and Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson, Clinton has a nine point lead over Trump.
Forty seven percent of likely voters support or lean towards Clinton, while 38 percent support Trump. Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson gets 8 percent of likely voters, while Green Party candidate Jill Stein receives 3 percent of the vote.
Clinton's lead just two weeks ago was four points.
In a two-way match-up in which third party candidates are not named explicitly, Clinton leads Trump 51 percent to 40 percent among likely voters, including leaners.
Trump is struggling to attract female voters. Forty six percent of women said Trump doesn't respect women, that's up 15 percent since September.
Fifty four percent of voters say his comments on a recently released video reflect how he feels today. Forty percent of voters said Trump's comments about making advances toward women make them feel worse about him.
The Trump campaign has dismissed Trump's comments on the video as "locker room talk,"indicating they are typical of how men sometimes talk about women to each other. Voters are divided: 47 percent think Trump's comments are typical, while 48 percent think they are not.
There were weaknesses for Clinton as well. A majority of those surveyed (64 percent) said they think she says what people want to hear instead of what she believes. The opposite is true for Trump. Sixty three percent said they don't think she's honest.
Voters are divided as to whether Hillary Clinton should release the texts of her speeches to Wall Street donors - something Donald Trump has made a condition to the release of his income tax returns. Fifty two percent said they think it's necessary for Clinton to release the texts of her speeches, while 45 percent do not. Most Republicans and independents think Hillary Clinton should release these speeches, while most Democrats don't think it's necessary.
Trump has not released his tax returns, and most voters think he should. Fifty nine percent think it's necessary for him to release his returns, including majorities of Democrats and independents. Partisanship is at play here , as most Republicans don't think Trump needs to release his tax returns. These percentages have changed little from a month ago.
The margin of error for the poll was three percent.
