MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- It's not even October but a million Americans have already finished their holiday shopping. That's according to a new survey from CreditCards.com.

The survey found 34-million Americans have already started checking off items from their holiday lists including the approximately one million people who are completely finished.

The rest of the country, however, isn't impressed. The survey found 74-percent of people who responded to the survey say they are "annoyed by these over achievers."

In case you haven't noticed, holiday decorations and gifts are already appearing in stores. This so-called 'holiday creep' trend is a big turn-off for many people, with more than three-quarters agreeing that it's wrong to see the holiday season start so soon.

There are still 87 shopping days (about a quarter of a year) before Christmas.

The traditional start to the holiday is Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving.

One in four U.S. adults plan to make all of their holiday purchases by the end of November.

The mid-September survey polled 1,000 adults, with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.8 percentage points.
