Chris Now Post-Tropical, Final Advisory
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – It was the first hurricane of the 2012 Atlantic hurricane season. Chris, now a post-tropical cyclone, is getting weaker.
At 11:00 a.m. Friday, Chris was located about 335 miles east-southeast of Cape Race, Newfoundland with maximum sustained winds of 45 miles per hour.
It's moving toward the west-southwest at 16 mph.
Additional weakening is forecast and the National Hurricane Center does not plan to issue any more public advisories on this system.
