MIAMI GARDENS (CBSMiami) -- Several people were hurt, including a child, following a three-car crash in Northwest Miami-Dade that saw at least one victim thrown from the vehicle.

It happened Friday morning at N.W. 167th Street and N.W. 27th Avenue, underneath the Palmetto Expressway overpass.

Chopper 4 images showed one of the cars with extensive damage to its passenger side and stuck on the concrete lane divider.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said all three people were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital, including the child, who was transported as a trauma alert.

Officials have not yet specified whether or not the child was the ejected victim.
