Cell Phone Thieves Target Two Pembroke Pines Stores
FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – Thousands of dollars worth of cell phones and accessories were stolen in a pair of smash and grab burglaries early Monday morning in Pembroke Pines.
Around 3:30 a.m., officers checking out a burglary alarm going off at the T-Mobile store at 14834 Pines Boulevard found that the store's glass front had been smashed in and $8,600 in merchandise had been taken.
The second smash and grab burglary occurred down the street at a Sprint store at 12206 Pines Boulevard. Approximately, $3,000 in items were taken.
Police are trying to determine who was behind these burglaries and if they are connected.
