MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The 72ND annual Golden Globes Awards, which aired Sunday night, had its fair share of hot looks, and some, well, a not so much. CBS4's Lisa Petrillo runs through her list of hits and misses.
Petrillo nominates two superstars for the hottest look at the event: Jennifer Lopez had tongues wagging both on and off stage in her gold Zuhair Murad with a plunging neckline. But its Kate Hudson, in her barely-there Versace gown, that takes the win.
As for pure elegance, Kate Beckinsale is Petrillo's pick in a taupe Elie Saab dress, paired with flawless hair and makeup.
Like every award show, there are winners and there are losers. Petrillo's picks for fashion misses are Kiera Knightly, now expecting, looked like she grabbed her granny's tablecloth in a lace and butterfly Chanel print. Melissa McCarthy appeared to have someone sew two outfits together in a mess of black and white ensemble that, in Petrillo's opinion, didn't work. Claire Danes's dark and dreary Valentino just fell flat of flattering the Homeland star.
For the men, navy blue tuxes were the rage. Matt Bomer, Ralph Lauren black label, gets Petrillo's top pick while Michael Keaton and Eddie Redmayne were standouts. Petrillo's all-time favorite George Clooney accepted the Lifetime Achievement award wearing the tux from his wedding day.
