BOCA RATON (CBSMiami) – When President Barack Obama and his Republican challenger Mitt Romney step on stage at the third and final presidential debate at Lynn University, CBS viewers will see a very familiar face.
The Commission on Presidential Debates released the moderators for this year's debate and CBS Face the Nation Host Bob Schieffer will be hosting from Boca Raton. The Lynn University debate hosted by Schieffer is set for Monday, October 22.
The CPD said Jim Lehrer, executive editor of the PBS NewsHour would host the first debate on October 3 and CNN chief political correspondent Candy Crowley would host the second presidential debate on October 16.
ABC News' senior foreign affairs correspondent Martha Raddatz will host the vice-presidential debate set for October 11 in Kentucky.
"The new formats chosen for this year's debates are designed to focus big time blocks on major domestic and foreign topics," the CPD said. "These journalists bring extensive experience to the job of moderating, and understand the importance of using the expanded time periods to maximum benefit. We are grateful for their willingness to moderate, and confident that the public will learn more about the candidates and the issues as a result."
