CBS 4 Miami Festive Forecast: Things to do in South Florida to celebrate the holiday season
MIAMI -- CBS4 and Humana are excited to present, Festive Forecast!
Throughout the month of December, the CBS4 Next Weather team will travel across South Florida visiting the biggest, the best and the most festive holiday events - from where you live!
Join us as we showcase what makes South Florida so bright this holiday season, while our award-winning team of meteorologists prepare you and your family for what weather to expect – NEXT.
- Dec. 1: City of Miami Gardens hosts its annual City Hall Tree Lighting ceremony at 18607 NW 27th Ave.
- Dec. 1: Holiday Tree lighting at Dania Beach from 6p-8p. The City of Dania Beach presents the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting @ City Hall, 100 W. Dania Beach Blvd. The tree lighting will start promptly at 6:15 p.m.
- Dec. 2: Downtown Doral Park & Tree Lighting. The city is hosting a lighting ceremony at Downtown Doral Park and the government center at 6 p.m. at 8395 NW 53rd Street.
- Dec. 8: Tradewinds Park has one of the largest light displays in South Florida and has been producing the event for 28 years with profits donated to various charities. This year's celebration will benefit Gilda's Club. 3600 W. Sample Rd in Coconut Creek.
- Dec. 9: Holiday Celebration at the Park presented by Baptist Health. Celebrate the holiday season with a night full of family friendly entertainment events and live performances. The event, at 8395 NW 53rd St., is free and open to the public.
- Dec. 14: Holiday Evening at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. The venue will host an event geared around the Main House and how it might have been decorated 100 years ago.
- Dec 15: Private home of Michelle Robison. She has been decorating her home since she was a kid helping her parents. She has about 50,000 lights that are up for about 4-5 weeks after Thanksgiving. Everything is Disney themed and 90 percent of her wooden displays are homemade and also lit. CBS Miami Chief Meteorologist Ivan Cabrera expected to attend event.
- Dec. 23: Zoo Lights Miami at 12400 SW 152nd Street. The zoo continues its holiday traditions to celebrate this time of year.

- Magic of Lights at Homestead Miami Speedway - a Drive-Thru Experience - Nov.18-Jan.1
- "A Jazzy Holiday" Historic Holiday Decor at the Deering Estate and Holiday Evening Strolls - Nov. 25-Jan. 6
- Winterfest Boat Parade - December 10, 2022
- Snow Fest and Holiday Parade at North Miami Beach City Hall - Dec. 10
- Nights of Lights at Pinecrest Gardens on Dec. 11-Jan. 1
- Meet & Greet with Santa at Sandrells River Theater - Dec. 22-23
- Garden of Lights at Flamingo Gardens - Dec. 16-23 and 26-30
- Magical Snowfall at Dolphin Mall - Nov. 23-Jan. 8
This holiday season, several South Florida senior center locations decked the halls with these elaborate decorations inside their medical centers in Margate and Pembroke Pines.
