Cars Strikes And Kills Pedestrian In Pompano Beach

POMPANO BEACH (CBSMiami) – The Broward Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal accident that claimed the life of a pedestrian in Pompano Beach on Saturday night.
According to authorities, a car traveling eastbound on 1400 E. Atlantic Blvd. hit a female pedestrian at around 9 p.m.
Deputies said the driver who hit pedestrian stayed on scene.
As investigators piece together what happened, both lanes on East Atlantic Blvd. are blocked off from 11th Ave. and 14th Ave.
Authorities said the driver was not impaired.
