Car With Body Inside Found In Dania Beach Canal
DANIA BEACH (CBSMiami) -- Broward Sheriff's Deputies are investigating a car that plunged into a Dania Beach canal.
The car went into the canal which runs parallel to the 1200 block of Old Griffin Road shortly after 1:00 p.m Monday.
Deputies found the body of a woman inside the car.
"Initially the investigation began with a report of just a car going into the water and we were not aware that there was a driver in the vehicle, we were able to recover that person, once the dive team went in to recover the car," said BSO Deputy Gina Carter.
BSO Marine and THI units are on the scene.
