Car Theft Tracking Device Leads Cops To Carjacker

MIRAMAR - (CBS4) - Miramar Police say they have arrested a man who carjacked and robbed a woman as she parked her car in front of her home.

The woman had parked her car in her driveway on the 3300 block of Foxcroft Road Wednesday night at 8 p.m. when a man forced her back into her car, robbing her and dropping her off elsewhere.

Police were able to track the suspect, 21-year-old Ruben Jiro, in Miami Gardens thanks to LoJack system she had installed in her car.

Jiro has been charged with multiple felonies including carjacking, grand theft and false imprisonment.
