Car Plows Into Pembroke Pines Townhome's Patio
PEMBROKE PINES (CBS4) - A Pembroke Pines townhome now has a new 'open air' patio thanks to an out of control driver.
The unexpected remodeling happened when the driver of a blue Toyota Camry crashed through a fence in the rear of a townhouse at 1550 Rue Vendome Street. As splintered wood flew in all directions, the car slammed into the residence's screened patio but stopped before it went through the sliding glass doors.
Pembroke Pines Fire spokesman Chief Tom Gallagher said a female passenger in the car was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital with 'non-life threatening' injuries.
A structural inspector determined there was no damage to the building's structural integrity.
