Canes Vs. BC Game Moved
MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) – Longtime Miami Hurricanes fans may have nightmares when they hear what the ACC has done to the Hurricanes.
The ACC announced late Thursday that it will move the Miami versus Boston College game from a Saturday game to a Friday afternoon game on November 25.
The game will be played at Sun Life Stadium and will be televised nationally.
But, here's why Canes fans may flinch. The last time the two teams played on a Friday was in 1984.
That game ended when Boston College's Gerald Phelan caught Doug Flutie's "Hail Mary" pass to give the Eagles a 47-45 victory over the Canes. The play launched Doug Flutie to the Heisman Trophy.
Still, Canes fans shouldn't worry too much. That game in 1984 is Boston College's only victory against Miami in Miami.
