Busy Bank Robber Hits Branches In S Dade, Hialeah
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – After comparing images taken by surveillance cameras, the FBI believes a pair of bank robberies on Wednesday was committed by the same guy.
Just after 9:30 a.m., a man wearing black jacket over a t-shirt and dark sunglass walked into the Bank of America branch at 2170 W 68th Street in Hialeah. The man walked up to the teller and demanded cash. The teller handed over an undisclosed amount and the man left.
About an hour later, a man wearing dark sunglasses and black jacket over a t-shirt robbed a Chase Bank branch at 11720 SW 104th Street in south Miami-Dade.
Again, the man entered the bank and demanded money from an employee. Money was taken, but the FBI did not release the amount taken.
In both instances there were people in the bank at the time of the robberies but no injuries were reported.
The getaway vehicle used in the Bank of America robbery is believed to be a silver or gray Chrysler 200M. See attached pictures.
