Burglars Cart Off 90 Plus Cigarette Cartons From Deerfield Beach Gas Station
DEERFIELD BEACH (CBSMiami) – Two men, police say, drove away from a Deerfield Beach gas station with nearly 100 cartons of cigarettes—police are hoping that surveillance, and the public's help, will lead them to the culprits.
On June 6th, at 11:22 a.m., two men parked a van in front of the Hess Express storage building at 2515 W. Sample Road.
Using the van as cover, the two pried open the security gate doors and disabled the alarm, according to Broward Sheriff's Office.
While inside the storage, they were able to force a metal cage open and take 93 cartons of cigarettes, valued at more than $4000.
The storage building did have a security camera which police say they tried to turn it away. Either way, they were not successful and video captures the suspects in the act.
BSO is searching for a black man with a medium build, approximately 40-years-old and six feet tall. At the time of the crime he was wearing a Yankees baseball cap, a white t-shirt, a green Waste Management vest and blue jeans.
The second suspect is described as a black male with a heavy build, approximately 40 years-old and six –feet tall. He was wearing a black baseball cap, an orange work vest and blue jeans.
The two men were in a white cargo van which may have been a 2008 Ford with untinted windows in the back.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $3,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
