Bucs Fire Head Coach Raheem Morris
TAMPA, Fla. (CBSMiami.com) – All three NFL franchises in the Sunshine State are in need of head coaches after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers fired coach Raheem Morris Monday morning.
The Buccaneers squad finished off a miserable season by essentially quitting through the final weeks of the season.
The Bucs lost their final 10 games of the season, something the franchise hadn't done since the days of the "Yucs" in the 1970's.
Morris was 17-31 in three seasons with the Buccaneers. He led the team to a 10-6 record in 2010 when the Bucs just missed making the playoffs.
The team entered the 2011 season with high expectations, but poor quarterback play from Josh Freeman, combined with a miserable defensive performance all season, doomed Morris' tenure in Tampa.
The Bucs now join the Dolphins and Jaguars as each team searches for a new head coach.
