BSO Takes Public Safety Digital With Mobile App
BROWARD CO. (CBSMiami) — The Broward Sheriff's Office has launched a mobile app, making the public safety agency one of the first to offer such a product.
Created for smartphone and tablet users, the BSO mobile app provides users with a one-touch approach to search arrests, civil cases, news, report a crime, view and map BSO events, contact the agency and connect to BSO social media sites.
In a news release announcing the new app, BSO said this convenient way to connect with the agency was developed through researching the most important and valuable areas of interest to website visitors.
To Get The BSO Mobile App:
- Visit www.sheriff.org/mobile/ or click on the mobile app button in the top right-hand corner of the website.
- Add the BSO app to your home screen.
After downloading the app, you will have access to some of the most important information that BSO provides, including criminal activity, traffic issues, security concerns, upcoming events, public safety initiatives and important safety tips.
According to Sheriff Al Lamberti, mobile apps like this are useful in communicating important safety information. Lamberti is a firm believer that the more informed you are, the safer you are.
