BSO Stops The Madness In 'Operation March Mayhem'
BROWARD (CBSMiami) – More than 300 drug dealers, prostitutes and people with child pornography have been arrested in a 2 day sting in Broward County.
The Broward Sheriff's Office partnered with several law enforcement agencies in a large-scale, two-day crackdown on street-level crime. BSO officials said they confiscated more than a thousand grams of cocaine and shut down a marijuana grow house in West Park during their "Operation March Mayhem."
158 plants and more than 150 pounds of marijuana were seized in the West Park warehouse.
In addition, detectives found hundreds of Oxycodone pills, seven guns and more than $50,000.
Law enforcement officers from the Broward Sheriff's Office, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Metro Broward Drug Task Force, the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco & Firearms, U.S Postal Inspectors, U.S. Marshals, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, State Probation and Parole and Fort Lauderdale, Hallandale, Lauderhill, Sunrise and Coral Springs Police Departments all partnered together for the sting, involving more than 200 police officers.
