BSO Says Bomb Threat Made On Spirit Airlines Flight At FLL

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – The Broward Sheriff's Office says a passenger on a Spirit Airlines flight at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport made a bomb threat late Thursday night.
According to BSO spokesperson Mike Jachles, the aircraft is currently in a secure area and fire rescue was on standby.
Jachles added there is no apparent threat detected at this time, but the bomb squad was deployed to check it out.
BSO said explosive detection K9s are being utilized to make a sweep of the plane and bags.
There are reportedly 92 people on board the Airbus A320.
