BSO Looking For Alleged FLL Jewel Thief
FORT LAUDERDALE (CBS4) - Broward Sheriff's Office Investigators are looking for a woman who allegedly pilfered a set of diamond rings from a TSA security checkpoint at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
Authorities released security video of the unidentified woman believed to be involved. Police say the victim was going through the security checkpoint at Terminal 4 on December 9, 2012 just after 10 p.m.
The victim told police that she misplaced her diamond engagement ring and wedding bands at the checkpoint and began frantically searching for them. The suspect is caught on camera picking up the rings off the floor and tucking them away, saying nothing as the woman searched nearby.
Before the incident, the suspect was dropped off at the terminal by a red Toyota RAV-4. She is described as having long dark hair and carrying a large red shoulder bag.
