The Broward Sheriff's Office said just after 7 a.m. they started receiving calls from several residents of the Water Edge Apartment complex who said the cars and SUVs had been burglarized. Deputies found that overnight eight vehicles from the 600 block to 800 block of Cypress Park Way had their windows smashed and various items left inside had been stolen.
The sheriff's office said the best way to avoid having your car, SUV or truck broken into is keep any valuables you leave in them out of sight.
