BSO Investigates After Dead Woman Found In Deerfield Beach Apartment
DEERFIELD BEACH (CBS4) - The Broward Sheriff's Office is investigating the suspicious death of a woman in Deerfield Beach.
She has been identified as Jackie Daniels-Davis, 58.
"(Detectives) do believe that foul play is involved here," said BSO Spokesperson Dani Moschella. "They consider it a suspicious death."
Witnesses say they found Daniels-Davis partially clothed in her apartment with her door slightly open.
When family and friends of the deceased learned the news their emotions were on display.
"Oh Jackie, no!" yelled a woman as staff from the Broward Medical Examiner's Office took away the body.
Daniels-Davis' daughter could not believe the news and others were so overcome they had to helped by paramedics.
Willie Kent -- described himself as the dead woman's boyfriend. He said he discovered her body and saw two things that seemed strange.
"She was the type of person who never left her door unlocked and she always be fully clothed," Kent told CBS 4's Carey Codd.
Kent says Daniels-Davis was naked from the waist up.
As her family underwent the painful task of cleaning out Jackie Daniels-Davis' apartment those close to her told us she was the manager of the building and would do anything for anyone.
"Whoever did this to her, I want them to be punished," Christine Griffin said.
Detectives carted away items from Daniels-Davis' apartment hoping they might yield clues to how she died. Her friends were left to mourn her passing.
"It hurt me because like I said, my best friend's gone," Kent said.
BSO is asking for the public's help if anyone knows what happened to Jackie Daniels-Davis. If you have any information, contact Crimestoppers at 954 493 TIPS.
The Medical Examiner's Office will conduct an autopsy to determine how she died.
