FORT LAUDERDALE (CBS4) - Get ready to bundle up, throw an extra blanket on the bed and find those fuzzy slippers you haven't seen since the last time it got chilly.
Some of the coldest air of the year is headed our way. Temperatures are expected to dip into the 40s and 30s Monday night into Tuesday.
With a Wind Chill Advisory in effect for all of South Florida and a Freeze Watch in effect for Northern and Western Broward Tuesday morning.
In addition to bringing in any outdoor pets we also have to make sure our tropical plants are taken care of.
"If you have any outside, bring them in," said Trevis Eneas, who works in the Garden Dept. at a Ft. Lauderdale Home Depot. "Orchids, young vegetable stuff, you know the ones that are starting from seedlings, the stuff that is just coming up now. That's what the big nurseries do."
