Broward Schools Employee Arrested On Cocaine Trafficking Charges
TAMPA (CBSMiami) – Broward County School security specialist Thomas Snell found himself on the wrong side of the law in Tampa.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office announced Wednesday that Snell was one of four men arrested and charged with conspiracy to traffic cocaine. The HCSO said the arrests came after a two-week long investigation.
According to the HCSO, the four suspects that were arrested allegedly conspired to purchase a kilogram of cocaine in exchange $34,000. Two of the suspects were convicted felons and were charged with possession of a firearm by convicted felon.
Broward Schools public information officer Marsy Smith said Snell worked as a security specialist at South Plantation High School and has been with Broward Schools for 13 years.
