Broward Health Dept. Offers Free Immunizations
BROWARD COUNTY (CBSMiami) — Just in time for the start of school Monday, the Broward County Health Department is offering another chance for you to meet the state's school immunization requirements.
Through Monday, the health department is offering free immunizations at four locations throughout the county:
- Oakland Park: Saturday, Aug. 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Jaco Pastorius Park & Community Center, 4000 N. Dixie Highway
- Sunrise: Saturday, Aug. 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sunrise Fire Rescue at Sunset Strip/Village Civic Center, 6800 Sunset Strip
- Fort Lauderdale: Monday, Aug. 20 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue Station 2, 528 NW 2nd Street
- Lauderhill: Monday, Aug. 20 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Lauderhill Mall, 1267 NW 40th Avenue
Children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, and must have each child's immunization records.
All students entering, attending or transferring into a Florida school in grades pre-K through 12 must prove they are vaccinated by providing documentation.
