Broussard: 'I Think' Dwyane Wade Stays in Miami
Count another NBA Insider among those who definitively think Dwyane Wade stays with the Miami Heat.
"He doesn't have a ton of leverage, period," ESPN's Chris Broussard said on the Marc Hochman Show with Zach Krantz. "I've talked to general managers and I don't know where Dwyane is getting this big money from, as much as he deserves it because he did make great sacrifices in Miami financially. I feel bad that he gave up that $10 million last year for LeBron and LeBron didn't go back but he's 33, guys view him as a 60-game-a-year player at best and I've had GMs tell me, 'look if the Heat are willing to give him money over four years he should be grateful.'
"I think Miami will -- I think -- do the right [thing] and take care of him, probably not to the extent or almost certainly not to the extent that he wants to be taken care of financially but I don't think they'll leave him out there to dry and really put him in a bad spot. I think worst comes to worst and what will probably end up happening is he does get money from Miami and stays there."
