Police say someone in the courtyard of an apartment building at the 1300 of NW 2nd Court was the target of the drive-by shooting.
"A black SUV drove by and opened fire on the five men that were standing there," said Miami Police Officer Freddie Burden.
Burden said the five victims were standing in courtyard together. They range in age from 17 to 54-years-old. Two were considered in critical condition, but others were well enough to give police the information on the SUV.
Nicole Donald says her nephew knows two of the victims and was standing near them when the shooting happened. Donald says she's surprised her nephew wasn't shot himself.

"He's hysterical, and he said for some reason, and I know it's God, for some reason, the bullets missed him," said Donald. "It shot two or three of his friends, so we're sitting here."
Police say the black SUV was last seen driving north on Northwest 2nd Court from 13 Street.
