Brazen Thief Targets Broward Motorcycle Store
DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. (CBSMiami) – A bold thief thought he could get away with stealing two motorcycles in broad daylight from Riva Yamaha Motorsports in Deerfield Beach.
George Neuner, 44, of Wilton Manors was caught on surveillance video first taking the keys and then motorcycles from Riva Motorsports.
The crime initially went undetected, until a buyer inquired about the missing motorcycle.
When the owner went back to look at the surveillance tape, he saw Neuner first walk into the store and get the key for the motorcycle.
Neuner then walked outside and proceeded to take the motorcycle from the parking lot, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.
Neuner did the same thing again with a different motorcycle and also stole a leather jacket worth approximately $300, according to the BSO, all in the span of approximately one hour.
Neuner was actually identified to sheriff's detectives by his girlfriend in still photos from the surveillance tape. Neuner reportedly admitted to BSO detectives the jacket was in his closet, according to BSO.
BSO detectives said both motorcycles had stolen license plates attached when detectives found them.
