Bosh Bludgeoning Bulls

MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) – Before the Eastern Conference Finals began, Chicago Bulls power forward Carlos Boozer said the Heat had two good players in LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. The obvious slight was to Heat power forward Chris Bosh.

Consider that slight answered.

For the second time in the series, Bosh carried the offensive load for the Heat. In Game 3, Bosh scored 34 points to lead the Heat to a 96-85 victory. Bosh hit key shots throughout the night to stymie any Bulls run that was being put together.

When the Heat needed Bosh, he hit the big shots. He finished the night hitting 13 of his final 15 shots.

"C-B had it going," James said. "And when we have someone going on our team, we continue to give the ball to him and continue to feed off their energy offensively. And he brought it home for us tonight."

And Bosh acknowledged that Boozer's slight was one of the things that got him going for this series.

"You can find inspiration in all kinds of different ways," Bosh said. "But I mean, it does nothing but help."

For Bosh, it's been quite a turnaround since admitting that the spotlight got to him when the Heat traveled to Boston for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals.

In the Eastern Conference Finals, Bosh is leading the team in scoring at 26 points per game. That comes as welcome news for Bosh's fellow Big Three member, Dwyane Wade.

"Obviously, I'm very happy for him," Wade said. "A lot of people don't understand how difficult it's been to make the adjustment, to play with two other players who dominate the ball so much. Some games he gets it, some games he doesn't, so to find a flow, to find a rhythm, sometimes it's tough."

Needless to say, if the Heat continue showing why they are one of the best defensive teams in the league, and Chris Bosh continues to show Boozer why the Heat are more than just Wade and LeBron, the Heat are well on their way to getting to the NBA Finals.
