Bomb Squad Destroys 'Suspicious' Object In Country Walk
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Members of the Miami-Dade police department's bomb squad were called to a Country Walk neighborhood Sunday morning after someone reported a 'suspicious object'.
After locating the object, police set up a perimeter around the area of SW 137th Avenue and 146th Street to keep the curious out. Bomb squad member suited up and checked out the device.
Unable to determine if it was sort of explosive, they detonated it. The pieces of the object were then taken back to police headquarters for testing to see whether the object posed any threat.
