Bocelli Sang At Easter Service On Miami Beach
MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) – It's was quite a surprise Easter Sunday for about a thousand or so Catholics who attended a particular Mass on Miami Beach.
As they lined up for communion at the 11 a.m. service at St. Patricks, famed opera singer Andrea Bocelli started singing.
Mary Ros Agosta said no one knew he was going to be there. The operatic tenor just asked the pastor if he could sing the communion song and the father agreed. Bocelli, 54, sang Panis Angelicum.
Bocelli, who has sold more than 80 million records, performed his last concert in February at the BB&T Center in Sunrise.
His next scheduled performance is in May in Bucharest.
