Board Of Governors Confirms Robinson As FAMU Interim President
TALLAHASSEE (CBSMiami) — The Florida Board of Governors confirmed the selection of Florida A&M University Provost and Vice President Larry Robinson as the interim head of FAMU.
His appointment to the top job followed the resignation of former President James Ammons.
Ammons was under fire for a wide-ranging scandal involving alleged hazing in the university's iconic Marching 100 band and financial and audit irregularities. Robinson was tapped by the FAMU board of trustees, but had to be confirmed by the statewide panel.
