Biting, Headlocks Ensue As Couple Combats At Casino
FORT LAUDERDALE — It was a battle of boyfriend versus girlfriend at a Hollywood casino Tuesday.
Officials said Patricia Murphy and her boyfriend, Eric Brooks, were arrested after engaging in combat over who would drive home, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
The incident took place in the Winner's Way parking garage at Hollywood's Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
Gary Bitner, an agency spokesman, said Seminole Police were called after Murphy threw a pint glass at Brooks and missed.
Murphy bit her boyfriend's thumb, leaving teeth marks, according to Broward County Court Judge John "Jay" Hurley on Tuesday.
Bitner said Brooks told officers that he attempted to end the bruiser, but he is accused of putting his girlfriend in a headlock and slamming her head into a parked car.
Both 28-year-olds live in Palm Beach Gardens.
Murphy is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, plus battery domestic violence. Bond is set at $11,000.
For Brooks, Judge Hurley ordered a $10,000 bond. Brooks is charged with battery domestic violence.
