Bird Strike Forces Return Of Colombian Bound Jet To MIA
MIAMI (CBS4) - Passengers on board a flight bound for Cali, Colombia returned to Miami International Airport after a bird flew into one of the jet's propellers.
American Airlines flight 921 had just taken off from MIA when the bird strike occurred. There were 161 people on board the flight, no was reported any injuries.
The passengers were kept in the cabin while ground crews inspected the plane. It was determined that a small bird flew into the propellers but caused no damage to the plane, according to American Airlines spokesperson Matt Miller.
The flight resumed its route several hours later.
