MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Haiti has celebrated a new step forward in their efforts to rebuild after the devastating 2010 earthquake.
On Monday, former President Bill Clinton was on hand to mark the opening of the Marriott Port-au-Prince. The hotel is the second international branded hotel to open in Haiti's capital.
Officials hope it will spur further economic development.
The telecom company Digi-Cel invested $45 million for the project. The company said the four star hotel will create 200 jobs and help tackle a shortage of accommodations in the capital.
