"Big Brother" Crowns A New Champion
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A crazy season of plotting, scheming and evictions ended Wednesday night with the crowning of a new "Big Brother" champion.
One contestant outlasted all the drama to win the $500,000 grand prize.
In the end, it came down to season 10 winner Dan Gheesling, Tulane University student Ian Terry and nurse Danielle Murphree.
In the first half of the show, the pack of three was quickly reduced to only two contenders after Dan won the first part of the Head of Household competition and Ian dominated the last two parts.
Ian kept his deal with Dan, and chose to evict Danielle, who became the final member of the jury tasked with voting between the final two for the grand prize.
After Dan and Ian were interrogated by the jury, Ian, a self-proclaimed Big Brother super-fan, garnered the most votes by a margin of six to one.
"This is easily the best moment of my entire life," Ian said after the win.
Meanwhile, Frank Eudy scored the "America's Favorite Houseguest" title, and walked away with $25,000.
There's more good news for Big Brother fans. CBS has renewed the summer reality staple for a 15th season for next summer.
