Palm Beach County has a trio of outdoor Amphitheaters but the most renowned is the Seabreeze Amphitheater. It's home to South Florida's version of New York's popular Shakespeare in the Park, Shakespeare by the Sea. The event is totally free and guests are encouraged to bring blankets, picnic baskets and pets as they watch the immortal bard's words come to life. The event runs Thursday to Sunday from July 11 to July 21. It's sure to knock your pantaloons off.

Hollywood, Florida has excellent cultural events that encourage the arts and the epicenter of the programs is inside a roundabout in Young Circle. The Amphitheater is 9,750 sq. feet and has played host to theater and musical acts alike. Sometimes, you can even catch a movie under the stars while being fed by South Florida's finest food trucks. It's the best area to take your family for an outdoor cultural experience.

The North Shore Park Bandshell is located in North Beach just steps away from the sandy shores of Miami Beach. In the past, it has been home to Sleepless Night Miami, an all night art exhibition featuring live theater and dance performances. Now, every Friday, an outdoor family film is shown and occasionally you can catch the latest salsa band on stage. Last year, during Sleepless Night, attendees were treated to a free night of Opera at the bandshell. Check the website and see what other outdoor perfermances are next and catch a live theater performance under the stars with the salty smell of the sea in your nostrils.

The largest in the Palm Beach County trio of theaters, the Sunset Cove Amphitheater can accomodate 5,000 attendees. Primarily a music venue, Sunset Cove Amphitheater hosts big name acts like the alternative rocker group Imagine Dragons but it is also available for theater shows, with a 1700 sq. ft. stage complete with dressing rooms and production offices perfect for any production. The venue will host this year's 4th of July celebration with classic band The Shindigs and a musical fireworks display.

The Canyon Town Amphitheater is the baby of the bunch housing only 500 or more patrons. The theater hosts local community events, but like the Sunset Cove Amphitheater, it is also available for acting troupes to strut their stuff on stage. This is a great venue for an intimate affair typical of the black box style theater performances. Check the website to see what's playing this summer.
