Best Drag Shows In Town

Sometimes the over pretentious clubs and 'in' hang outs are just too much for you to deal with on a night out. You want fun, but not the comedy club type. You want something different, yet really entertaining. Hey, why not check out a drag show; they usually bawdy, a lot of fun and definitely out of the ordinary.

Lips

Oakland Park's Lips is a fun and funky drag show that's part dinner theater, part exotic drag revue, and all man. Lips features a mix of bawdy humor, fierce décor, and drag-themed eats. On Thursday check out the "Dinner with the Divas," where the 'girls' are decked out as their favorite celebs like Cher, Madonna, and Tina Turner. Friday and Saturday is "Glitz & Glamour" and Sunday is the "Gospel Brunch" - what Lips calls "a holy-roller drag revue".

The Palace

The Palace hosts three different shows starting Thursday with Cabaret Nights hosted by Geraldine. On Friday it's Drag Madness hosted by TP Lords featuring Lords and Sasha Sky. Saturday it's Drags Gone Wild featuring Lords, Latrice Royale and the Amazing Shanaya Bright. The shows, which are hysterical, take place on the sidewalk in front of the Palace Bar between the tables. The ladies strut their stuff up and down Ocean Drive, stopping cars and even dancing with those just passing by. A must see.

Daisy Deadpetals hosts the Voodoo Lounge's "Life's A Drag" show every Sunday night. The show features Erika Norell, Poison Ivy and TP Lords.  Daisy D is hilarious and the show is performed in segments to give the audience some time to get their drink and dance on in between.
