Behind The Scenes Of "CBS This Morning"

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- "CBS This Morning" airs weekday mornings at 7am on CBS Miami and Morning Anchor Rhiannon Ally recently traveled to New York City and Studio 57 to get an inside look at "CBS This Morning" with the hosts, Charlie Rose, Gayle King, and Norah O'Donnell.

They put the "news back in the morning" and they put Rhiannon backstage for the show to watch these three co-workers, who treat each other more like family.

Executive Producer Chris Licht discovered the chemistry, so Rhiannon asked him how they came together.

"The honest answer is you have no idea and it's a little bit of luck. You see the individual strengths and think this could work. I've tried it before where it blows up on you," explained Licht.

Licht was also tasked with reshaping a morning show to fit the mold of CBS News excellence.

It begins in a state of the art studio, fitted with HD cameras and state of the art equipment. Mixed in are pieces of history, including the original map used by Walter Cronkite during the "CBS Evening News"

Licht said his favorite part of his day is in the control room during the show. He explained the show is a collaborative effort between his team of producers and the anchors.

Rhiannon also sat down with Rose, King, and O'Donnell to talk to them about the show. It's clear how comfortable they are with each other. Their relationship is built on a foundation of respect.

"The truth of the matter is what you see is what you get," said Gayle King.

Norah O'Donnell agreed, "We all decided we have nothing to lose, so just be yourself."

Charlie Rose also agreed, "We're in this together."
