Bachmann Campaign Losing More Aides

MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) – Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann finished last in September's GOP Florida straw poll. Now, it appears her campaign may be in deep trouble.

Bachmann has lost her pollster and senior adviser as her campaign continues to flounder amidst the GOP field that includes front-runners Mitt Romney, Rick Perry, and Herman Cain.

Bachmann lost campaign manager and GOP strategist Ed Rollins and his deputy in September.

In addition, Bachmann hasn't been able to raise the amounts of money that Perry and Romney have throughout the young campaign. Bachmann has relied on small donors instead of the large, bundled donors pushing Perry and Romney.

Bachmann has stumbled ever since Perry entered the race. She was trying to go after Perry's executive order mandating cervical cancer vaccinations when she suggested that the vaccines could lead to mental retardation.

The claim was immediately debunked by scientists and both parties distanced themselves from the comment.

Bachmann's only hope at this point would be a win in Iowa that could vault her to the lead, in the same way President Barack Obama went from a contender to the leader in 2008.
