AT&T Offers Unlimited Calling To Any Other Number

MIAMI (CBS4) -- AT&T has rolled out a new plan that will allow certain AT&T subscribers to make unlimited calls to any other mobile number, whether or not the other number is on AT&T.

The "Any Mobile Number" plan is effective Thursday, but only certain customers are eligible. The plan is available to existing customers who subscribe to a minimum $20 a month unlimited messaging plan plus an existing voice plan.

The offer only applies to direct calls to and from US mobile numbers, and customers must activate the feature at att.com/anymobile before it goes into effect on their accounts.

AT&T's new deal comes as the Verizon iPhone goes on sale, however, AT&T isn't the only company trying to stay competitive. T-Mobile announced its offering a two-day handset giveaway this weekend, in which every phone, including smart phones, are free with a two-year contract. AT&T has also said it would reinstate the unlimited data plan for some iPhone customers.

The new "Any Mobile Number" plan, combined with AT&T's rollover minutes, means users will most likely never have to pay 'minute overage' charges again.
