Ariz On Canes Rental Car Scandal: "This Is Still An Internal Investigation"
Miami Hurricanes insider for Canes Insight Peter Ariz joined the Big O Show on 560 WQAM to discuss his takeaway from the team's scrimmages, the defensive line being loaded with "blue chip guys" and an update on the status of Stacy Coley and Al-Quadin Muhammad in the Hurricanes rental car scandal.
Ariz on the Stacy Coley, Jermaine Grace and Al-Quadin Muhammad investigation:
"This is still an internal investigation. Obviously Miami is not going to comment on anything. It seems the investigation focusing on Stacy Coley, Jermaine Grace and Al-Quadin Muhammad. What I think is going to end up happening here, and this is just a hunch, I think pretty soon between the next week or so Miami might role these guys ineligible. (He goes on to compare the situation to the Nevin Shapiro investigation). But I think we'll see these guys suspended for a couple of games. They'll be forced to pay back whatever they received. This is still being investigated but the longer this goes on you don't feel too good about it if you're a Hurricanes fan as far as guys missing time. If they do miss a game or two, it's not the end of the world. But Stacy Coley, that'll be a big lose for them."
