Another Soggy Day Then It's Going To Be Nice
MIAMI (CBS4) – Hang on South Florida. We'll have to endure just one more day of wet and windy weather before things get nice for a couple of days.

Zoo Miami announced on Facebook they were closing for the day on Wednesday due to the weather.
Some of the strongest storms have been over the Keys which have been under a Flood Warning and an Urban Flood Advisory due to the potential of flooding since the ground is already saturated from all the rain over the last few days.
The National Weather Service said Key West received rainfall amounts of up to 2 inches per hour and winds gusting up to 40 miles per hour. Due to the inclement weather Monroe County canceled classes for the day.
The record rainfall has the South Florida Water Management District working at maximum capacity. All structure gates from Orlando to the Keys remain open and some pumps are operating 24 hours a day.
According to the SFWMD, the district-wide average rainfall was 2.52 inches over the last 72 hours.
Those numbers were boosted because the Lower Keys received just under 22 inches of rain from October 16-19.
On Wednesday, an area of low pressure in the northeastern Gulf of Mexico combined with a pre-frontal trough digging in across the southeast will lead to a high rain chance throughout the day with the potential for some more strong to severe storms.
The strong cold front we have been waiting for will move across South Florida late Wednesday afternoon into the evening hours, said CBS4 Meteorologist Lissette Gonzalez who added that we'll see a gradual improvement in the weather.
A few showers are possible Wednesday night before the drier, cooler air settles in. Overnight lows will drop to the low to mid 60s. On Thursday, the afternoon highs will struggle to reach the 80 degree mark. Friday morning could be even cooler with some areas dipping down to the upper 50s and low 60s. As we head into the weekend and high pressure builds in, it will be breezy and slightly warmer, but pleasant in the afternoon with highs in the low 80s.
